Hello! I'm Carrie Vizzini and I am the full time art teacher at Bain Elementary School. I have been teaching elementary art for 26 years, 23 of them here at Bain! I graduated from Appalachian State University in 1994 with a BS in Art Education and I earned my National Board Certification in 2001. I love the mountains of North Carolina and enjoy visiting Boone and Asheville with my husband and daughter.
When I'm not teaching art, I also love visiting art museums! There is nothing like experiencing art first hand and up close. I recently had the chance to see an exhibit of one of my favorite artists, Georgia O'Keefe. I also enjoy making art in my spare time and I love upcycling, or repurposing objects into new creations. Recycling is a passion of mine and I enjoy teaching my students about the importance of reducing our carbon footprint!
