ART AT HOME

See what our Kindergartners have been creating at home!

mixed-up sculptures

Kindergarten students have been learning about sculptures. Sculptures are artworks that can stand up!
We read The Mixed Up Chameleon by Eric Carle and used it as our inspiration for these Mixed-Up Sculptures.
SNOWMAN COLLAGE
Kindergarten students used geometric shapes to draw the different parts of their snowman (or woman's) face. Students then practiced their cutting skills and used Mrs. Vizzini's gluing rule "Dot, dot, NOT a lot!" to put their snowman together. Scrapbook paper, pipe cleaners, and snowflake sequins were used to add the finishing touches to these fun collages.

falling Leaves

Our kindergarten students examined real fall leaves to help them draw in the art room! The students found the veins in the leaves and used those lines to help them draw a variety of leaves.
Our artist turned the leaves in different directions and painted the wind help to make the leaves look like they are falling!
