sandy creek weavers
Thanks to the generous support of our PTA and the Arts and Science Council, we were fortunate to work with Victoria Sowers from Sandy Creek Weavers this fall. Students learned about a 'day in the life' of an early American settler and had a chance to weave on a 300 year old barn loom. Students were encouraged to bring in an item to be incorporated into the 'time capsule' weaving. We look forward to having our finished weaving on display at Bain very soon.
STATE EMPLOYEES CREDIT UNION
Several Bain students currently have their artwork on display at the Mint Hill branch of the State Employees Credit Union. The artwork can be viewed during regular business hours.
SELF PORTRAIT CLASS MURALS
3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes began the 2017-2018 school year with a COLLABORATION. Students learned about a MONOCHROMATIC color scheme and chose ONE COLOR to create a SELF PORTRAIT. When all of the portraits were complete, each class worked together to decide on the final arrangement for their mural.

Recycled Art Contest- 2016
Bain's Green Team sponsored a Recycled Animal Art Contest to celebrate Earth Day!
Our students were very resourceful and creative while creating these animals out of recycled materials.
The winning entries were on display at the Matthews Earth Day and enjoyed by our community!
